We believe in one living and true God, the Creator and Lord of the heavens and the earth. He is perfect in holiness, wisdom, goodness, justice, power and love. In the unity of the Godhead there are three persons of one substance, equal in power, glory and eternity – God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man, the only mediator between God and man. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

We believe that God created, upholds and governs all that exists through His Son, Jesus Christ, His eternal Word. Jesus Christ came down from heaven, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He was anointed as God’s Messiah. He lived a sinless life in perfect obedience to the Father, and was crucified to take God’s judgement for my sins. He suffered, died, and was buried, and He rose bodily from the dead on the third day. At his first coming, Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God’s Kingdom on earth. As the God-man, Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God the Father, interceding for His people. He is eternal King with all authority to advance God’s reign.

We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry every believer in Jesus Christ. He is our Helper, Teacher, and Guide. I believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, and in the exercise of all Biblical gifts of the Spirit.

We believe that God created mankind in His own image for relationship with Himself, and to govern the earth. Creation now experiences the consequences and effect of Adam’s original sin – a fall from grace that brought sin, sickness and God’s judgement of death to the earth. I, along with all human beings, am a sinner by nature and choice. As a captive to Satan’s kingdom of darkness which rejects God’s will, I was under condemnation. I am now accounted righteous before God only by the work of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, through faith in Him alone, and not by my own works or deserving.

We believe that I have been born again by the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit. This same Holy Spirit now lives in me, producing faith, holiness, love, and power.

We believe in the divine inspiration, truthfulness, and authority of both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible in their entirety. Without error in all that they affirm, they are our final authority, and the only infallible rule for my faith and practice.

We believe that the Church is intended by God as a worshipping community of believers: observing Christ’s teachings, governed by His law, exercising the gifts, privileges and discipline invested in the church by His Word and the Holy Spirit, and seeking to extend the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. All who repent of their sins and confess Jesus as Lord and Saviour are part of the one living Body of Christ, of which He is the head.

We believe Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: water baptism and the Lord’s Supper. I believe water baptism is available to all believers following a clear profession of Christian faith, and that the Lord’s Supper is open to all believers. Both help us connect with truth, and form a lifestyle of faith. Through the working of the Holy Spirit, the Lord’s Supper nourishes my soul. It helps me remember the sacrifice of Christ for my sins, my communion with Christ and the Church, and my obligation to persevere in faith and holiness to the end of my life.

We believe in the personal, visible, appearing of Christ to earth and the consummation of His Kingdom; in the resurrection of the body, the final judgement and eternal blessing of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked. In God’s fulfilled Kingdom rule and reign there will be no death, mourning, crying or pain, and God will be worshipped forever.
